New Aluminum Gearmotors Reduce Cost & Weight

In conjunction with WATT Drive, DieQua is introducing a selection of right angle and inline gear motors and reducers with cast aluminum housings. Available in capacities from 1/4 to 1 horsepower, these reducers offer a number of advantages.

The prime advantage is a reduction of cost. With the faster machining times associated with using aluminum over cast iron, the lower production costs can be passed on to the customer. This provides increased value to the designer.

Another advantage is in the reduction of weight. This is extremely valuable in mobile applications and allows lighter structural and support elements to be incorporated, further reducing weight and cost.
