The 2012 edition of the Watt Drive MAS Series engineering catalog is now available. Covering the full range of right angle and inline helical gearmotors and speed reducers, along with the general features and benefits of the EUSAS worldwide motor, this is the definitive resource for applying helical gearboxes.
In addition to hard copies, the catalog can be downloaded either in its complete form or by individual section for quicker access of information on the specific model and configuration someone might be interested in. All sections include the various input options to make a gearbox. These include adapters for NEMA, IEC, and servo motors, as well as input shafts. Motor information will be available in a separate section.
Four basic models are highlighted in this catalog. The first is the Series H inline helical design. This is the most cost effective and highest efficiency configuration. With power capacities from fractional to 75 HP and multi stages available for a wide range of ratios, this robust design is a real workhorse for primary or auxiliary drive applications. Featuring a compact envelope size and foot or flange mounting, design versatility is assured.
The second model is the Series A/F parallel shaft design. Most appropriate for shaft mounting requirements, it also has flange and base mounting capabilities. Inch and metric hollow bores are offered along with insert shaft options. This model also has capacities to 75 HP.
The third model, the Series K helical bevel right angle, is perhaps our most popular. Also designed for shaft mounting this is a compact design with high torque capabilities. All the standard output shaft options are offered with shrink disc being the top selection.
The fourth model is the Series S helical worm. This is a cost effective right angle alternative that is more efficient than a standard worm. It also offers the standard input and output options with capacities limited to 10 HP.
A section on agitator drives is included next. These are hybrid designs from the parallel and helical bevel program that offers higher axial and radial load. They don’t have to be used for mixer or agitator applications, but they do provide a special output sealing arrangement to protect against the possibility of lube leakage.
The final section is on the Watt Drive EUSAS motor, capable of operation with virtually any volts/Hz combination, allowing a single motor to be used around the world. Because of it’s unique wiring a special feature we call Double Power/Double Speed allows the motor to generate full torque up to 120 Hz under specific circumstances. A separate flyer highlights when and how this is possible.
The Watt Drive helical gear motor and speed reducer line is a high quality, highly efficient, and very robust product designed for demanding applications. With the number of standard options available, design versatility is assured. Contact Diequa to discuss how we can help you with your next application.
