DieQua Isn't Chicken
DieQua isn’t “Chicken” to invest in new markets and new opportunities, even in this environment of uncertainty. That’s precisely why we are exhibiting in the International Poultry Exhibition this month in Atlanta.
Ok, the chicken comment is a bad play on words, but some attempted humor is necessary when it seems like everything else has a dark cloud hanging over it. And in spite of the negative media coverage and the apparent effect on market activity, there are still opportunities for success.
DieQua Corporation will be launching our stainless steel drive program by participating in IPE, or the International Poultry Exhibition, being held this January 28-30 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. According to their website this is the networking hub of the world for every segment of the poultry and egg industry, including feed milling, live production, hatchery, processing, and packaging.
While this is a more highly specialized show than we normally participate in, the requirements of the industry match well with our new stainless steel product offering. With the increasingly tough cleanliness standards being demanded by the FDA and USDA, processing plants and machinery manufacturers must consider the higher cost of stainless steel drive components to replace more traditional painting and coating protection options. With a limited number of suppliers providing these products, an opportunity is at hand.
While we offer all the usual protection options, stainless steel will be the focus of our presentation. The primary products featured will be the Kel-Tech stainless steel AC motor and the Hydromec stainless worm reducer lines. The inverter duty motors provide the ultimate in performance and protection with many design enhancements over competitor's designs. The worm reducers have also been recently redesigned to improve wash down reliability and cost effectiveness.
Other stainless steel components will also be presented. Many of our standard product lines offer stainless steel as an option. As an example, for lifting and positioning requirements, our Zimm screw jacks offer a complete stainless solution in the more popular sizes of 1/2 to 5 ton capacities. For an increasing number of motion control applications, we offer Planetdrive planetary gearheads, couplings and torque limiters, all available in stainless steel.
Poultry plants are some of the most harsh environments that power transmission and motion control components have to operate in. Facing these challenges and providing reliable solutions is something DieQua does every day. When stainless is the requirement, and not the option, give DieQua a call. We most likely have either a standard stainless product or can create a special design to meet your specific need.
Did you know that DieQua publishes a monthly email newsletter that features interesting articles just like this one?
Our newsletter was designed to be a little different than other manufacturer's newsletters that are primarily product centric. While products and services available from DieQua are highlighted, other elements revolve around the personal and professional development of the design engineer.
